The damage to The US was far greater from lock-downs and restrictive policies than Wuhan-19 was. We must never ever lock down for something like this again. I suspect though that Marxist Democrat and Liberal Republican government officials will be more than happy to do so as soon as they get an opportunity. Once Marxists and Liberals obtain power, they hold on to it tightly and try very hard to expand it.

Americans have now seen the naked tyranny that power-mad politicians institute the minute they have an excuse. Many are taking steps.

When we saw people denied access to their second homes it was a big fat clue. Preventing landlords from collecting rent or evicting tenants was another. Your "property rights" can be dismissed by a psychopathic governor.

The only thing more frightening than State power is Federal power. There are people sitting in prison for rioting at the capitol exactly as the left rioted in other federal buildings but all the leftists had their charges dropped (with a small number of exceptions like that guy Oregon troopers smoked).

BVI looks interesting... There is no big fee to buy citizenship. You apply for residency and then spend 10 years as a "non-belonger" and then become a "belonger". The tax structure is unique, not a UK commonwealth schema. I've definitely got one eye on the exits.
