The part where the NYTimes cited their source - they were people who heard about the incident, NYTimes wasn't citing any memo. Comey said during his testimony that he told additional people about the incident so it's easily explained that memo wasn't the only source.
"The conversation that night in January, Mr. Comey now believes, was a harbinger of his downfall this week as head of the F.B.I., according to two people who have heard his account of the dinner."
Fox News is hoping that you don't read the original, they are spreading fake news.

Not sure Fox news would want to hide stuff on Trump, there are many articles and tv reporters that are critical of him. At any rate, if the conversation was held strictly between Trump and Comey in private, and the nature of the conversation gets to the press, there is obviously a very short trail to the leaker. It would be incredible if Trump set this guy up to fall, as he might have thought Comey was the leaker indeed. Looks like he got the guy.

Secondly, there is no executive privilege here, why would Comey fall over this? The moment Trump went on twitter and talked about 'tapes', he lost any implied privilege - this was litigated during Watergate and court held that public had the right to know even if the President was involved in such conversations.
We are looking at this from two different perspectives. To me what's important was to find the leaker, which seems to have happened. Only time can tell.
Yes, Comey fell, as he is out of his job and for many good reasons. I think his stab at Clinton was also another attention grab moment.
But it doesn't stop there. I did not buy his 'it was the hardest thing I did in my life', to throw Clinton under the bus a week before elections or to believe a guy that is 6' 3, head of the FBI, feeling 'not strong enough' to stand up the president?

It's a total red-herring - leaking an unclassified document in his own possession that he wrote himself without any executive privilege invoked has nothing to do with all the leaks coming out of the WH.
Also who cares, if the leaks were true as many of them turned out to be, it prevents corruption and increases transparency.
He clearly proved he had the ability to be 'a' leaker. We shall see if he was 'the' leaker.
'The' leaker of what exactly? Given the straightshooter he is, I doubt he would deny if he was 'the' leaker of other things you are alluding to.
