Upper part of Balkans was supported by Germany, germans had a long term interest in Croatia and bought many resources after the war

lower part of Bosnia was Mossad operations and at later stage of war, it became ironically Saudi operation

central part was supported by Russia, their interest was sales of weapons and continuation of the war for as long as possible
 
My grandfather was one of the few government farmers who refused slaves (POWs and undesirables) to work under armed guard on farms

but plenty others did, my godfather had human slaves working on his farm, back breaking labor in exchange for staying alive
