We can now see clearly to the outcome of Trump's Tariffs.

He must have of come out of the womb this way. He's been a Bastard all his life, and his father before him. Eisenhower was furious when he found out a huge chunk of Federal dollars had somehow made its way into Daddy Fred's personal bank account. There were hearings, and daddy almost went to jail, but in the end his well connected friends help save his neck. (The money was only resting there temporarily while on its way to its assigned purpose, ;)) His grandfather was a hustler too, but there was something about him that made you admire his skill set. He was a self-made swindler and successful keeper of brothels. Not the same with Daddy or the Donald. Donald is little different from Bernie (Madoff) or Charles (Ponzi), or his daddy for that matter, swindlers all of them. Just ask Trump 'University' 'Students' or Trumps investors in his casinos or other failed enterprises! But Donald has out swindled everyone. He's President of the United States! (at least for now.)

A lot of pain there, but I understand.

Refer to my post to you earlier today about why any success on daca or tariffs is a threat to dems who definitely need failure on those issues in order to have anything other than transgender bathrooms for issues to run on.

And then, just since that time we now learn that there are positive developments on North Korea. Tony Tard must be on a heart lung machine because he has entire robopost machine dedicated to spreading glee over news about the possibility of Americans being nuked. We feel his pain too.

Yup, it's beginning to look like its going to be another election campaign about how transgenders and illegals issues come first before working class deplorables and national security. Go for it. Most likely your ilk will have lots and lots of polls showing how your candidate is ahead by twenty points in Calgary. And lets not forget that Hope Hicks admitted to telling white lies for the president so that's some big stuff you got there too. Some called and asked to speak to Trump and she said that he was "with someone right now" when in fact he was just taking a dump. BUSTED!!!! LOCK HER UP!!!!!!

One outcome we need to consider is that this pressure on China may have coerced North Korea to announce they would agree to de nuclearize

Yes, of course.

Same with pressure on Mexico and Canada who are involved in nafta talks. They see where China ended out and he had them there too but then let them know that if we ended out with a fair deal they could avoid all that.

Lots of messaging going on.

The other thing that is not being discussed but is in play is the fact that the EU is sticking it to the Brits on trade deals to punish them for Brexit, or attempting Brexit. Trump has cards he can play there to help the Brits out and he will. American power should be used to help our friends and punish our enemies, while also not letting our friends have a free lunch off of us.

You have to bring Obama back if you want someone who will sell American down toilet if it might cause him to lose two points in a favorability poll. Trump is not worried about the two points or even fifty points.

LOL, i had to laugh at this one, supposedly we are going to do something different with our oil based on tariffs, but liberals in canada are blocking the pipeline that would make it possible...... its almost like they have no understanding of economics at all.

Earlier you mentioned that Canada would ship the oil elsewhere -- this is not so.

Until Canada builds either an eastern pipeline or western pipeline to ship the oil to one coast or the other (plus add shipping facilities for oil) then your only large scale customer for oil is the U.S. -- especially in view that all the refining capacity for Canadian oil is down in the gulf states.

So either Canada builds the pipelines (after paying all the taxes that Provinces and First Nation tribes are demanding for each barrel of oil crossing their land it would be over $100 per barrel currently) -- or Canada keeps shipping to the U.S.

BTW - ask the people of Lac-Mégantic how shipping oil by rail worked out for them.

Fwiw the I agree with Piezoe that the tariffs are an excercise in futility but he missed the mark on the reason why.

The U.S. would be able to crush every other country in a trade war, but the currency rebalance is going to end up basically offsetting the gains anyways. Im hoping and thinking this is another one of Trumps carrot and stick type negotiations, i dont think there will be much meat behind this, there is too much money on the line, The countries hes threatening will definitely lose on these tariffs, but the U.S. wont necessarily win, it will strengthen the USD and weaken the other countries currencies, and the countries with even weaker currencies will fill the gap.

Also democrats wanted a trade war too before Trump got elected, so its not like they have a leg to stand on here, infact that was the area Trump was able to unite the left and the right.

This is not a made up issue btw, Guys like Elon Musk (who are undeniably free thinkers) also realise the problem this is creating. Obviously this is self serving on Musk's Part, but i wouldnt look at him as someone who is just a hyperpartisan on the issue.

The bottom line, the U.S. has been bending over on free trade, and there is only so long they can afford to be the worlds buyer........ At some point it breaks.
