Wave of Radiation from Fukushima

Quote from Clubber Lang:

Futurecunt gets his panties in a bunch because a southern bible toting duck call maker says it's not right for two guys to ass bang each other, but when a radiation cloud is blanketing the Pacific Ocean he says there's nothing to worry about.

The liberal thought process is baffling.
Meanwhile, the experts' worried opinion on CO2 at 400ppm (and rising) is... according to you, laughable, right?

Quote from futurecurrents:

Yeah, it's not a problem. It's hysteria. Something the right does so well. Especially when it advances the fossil fuel interests.

I haven't seen any hysteria, just lots of concern, and rightly so. Remember Chernobyl, or was that a myth? You are the last person who should preach about hysteria. Seriously.

I had some hysterical moron call me at 5am all worked up about Fukushima, it was a few weeks ago... so I read all the HYSTERIA being published on the web, then after much digging I got to some facts and found that it's 99.9% HYSTERIA. The radioactive Tuna we found that had swum across the Pacific? They were edible! They measured 3% more radiation than normal... That's one example, there are fifty more... Envirobastards can make political hay out of this stuff, it's usually the same people that have been hysterical about the environment to the point where people like me that hate hysteria just can't pay any attention no matter what...

It's good that we can see that people like General Electric and some Japanese bureaucrats can't be trusted with Nuclear stuff... I've always been for conservation, get some LED lightbulbs everybody, learn to work a solar charger, walk your fat asses to work instead of driving for god's sake...

Thyroid Cancers Surge Among Fukushima Youths

from the article

"Bottom line "experts" are divided about whether the Fukushima cancers are caused by nuclear radiation... which, perhaps, is why they are experts"

IMO 2 1/2 years is too soon to see any cancer increase. It takes longer than that for cancer to grow. Also, they are including "suspected cancers". Huh?

This article agrees with your assessment...

http://ecowatch.com/2013/10/09/fukushima-radiation-safe-to-eat-fish/

however, from deeper in the article:

"Fish from the water near the crippled plant are not faring so well. High levels of cesium-134, a radioactive isotope that decays rapidly, were found in fish samples there. Radiation levels in the sea around Japan have been holding steady and not falling as expected, further demonstrating that radiation leakage is not under control. At least 42 fish species from the immediate area are considered unsafe for consumption, and fisheries there remain closed.

New concerns continue to arise. While the initial leak contained cesium isotopes, water flowing into the ocean from the plant now appears to be higher in strontium-90, a radioactive substance that is absorbed differently. While cesium tends to go in and out of the body quickly, strontium heads for the bones.

A huge accumulation of radioactive water at the plant must be dealt with immediately. Determining the full effects of years of exposure to lower levels of radioactive contamination leaking into the ocean will take time and require continued monitoring and assessment. While Health Canada monitors radionuclide levels in food sold in Canada, and one of its studies incorporates samples from Vancouver, we need to remain vigilant and demand timely monitoring results."

Again, I think concern is warranted, but I will concede that there is a lot of hysteria after doing some surfing. I hadn't been following the story that closely as I don't live near the Pacific.

My hysterical nutcases are on the US West Coast... personally I wouldn't go anywhere near Japan.

Oh, and, US Navy: Do your own due diligence!! You took the word of some bureaucrats that it was safe and didn't do your own measurements? Dereliction of duty for sure, you have the instruments, you have the trained people yet you didn't make your own measurements...
