Watch Lists, Historical Data and Excel®

I'm sure something like this is out there....but don't know where to look...so thought I'd ask here.

I'd like to build a Watch List of say......500 tradeables.

If that's too large of a list to accomodate....I can break it down into smaller groupings.

For that list, I'd like to identify a particular historical trading date and have the closing price for each of these tradeables to be entered.

I'd then need this closing price data to be extractable to Excel® format.

Anyone know of how to work with one of the major data feed providers, (Yahoo, stockcharts, etc.), to accomplish this task?

You can do that in Excel 2002 with this:

or build portfolio(200 or so tickers max for each portfolio) on my yahoo page and use excel web query feature.
