Maybe Trump doesn't get down to the "nitty gritty" until after the 2020 election that he's scheming to and hoping to win?? (By scheming, I'm thinking he's pussy footing around issues now so as to not piss off too many people which would queer his chance for reelection. If he wins in 2020, he won't have to worry about stepping on politicos' toes and may make more difficult choices... at least that's my hope.)

If/when the dems regain the house on tuesday, then the immigration scenario is going to continue to deteriorate very badly over the next couple years. I am realistic and admit right up front that the dem regaining the house kills almost every immigration plan that both the pubs and dems have. Trump still retains veto power. And the supreme court will most likely kill daca when it reaches the court. That's gonna be ugly too for dems. Trump will tell them to either fund the wall or watch them be deported.

So I not trying to pretty up any loss that will happen next week. It is a major setback for any attempts to stop the open borders. But going back to 2020, and your point about trump going full savage if he is re-elected- no lie there- AND he will demonize the dems every step of the way until the election and some ugly immigration invasions will have happened by then- and the lefties better pray that trump is not reelected and regains a republican majority again in his last term. That will be full, full, full savage.

Trump cannot get the trance-state lefties votes. They are too far gone. But independent wishy washy independents are the ones who are going to have to decide to help out or not and support the country or decide whether they are so offended by trumps character and moral flaws that they are willing to watch Pelosi install defend MS-13 taking over communities.

Very saddened for the country about what the outcome could be on tuesday. The majority in the senate helps to temper it a bit because it takes so much of that impeachment game off the table, or at least reduces it too an empty exercise.

I am always up for a big surprise, but I fear that seeing Hillary clobbered in 2016 was a gift from the gods that used up our lifetime quota. If the dems lost the house , Don Lemon would be crying and on a heart-lung machine right there on CNNFAKE. How sweet it would be. I might pray and sacrifice a couple chickens later just to up the odds a little- even though the odds are in the toilet.
 
Losing the House is not the end of the road for immigration patriots. Pelosi and democrats really can't do any less than Paul Ryan did to restrain illegal immigration and reform legal immigration. At the end of the day, Trump controls the Executive Branch and can seal the border, provided he is willing to do so, which he certainly appears to be. He may need to ditch some foot-draggers, like his Chief of Staff Kelly, Kelly's special friend Kristen Nielson at DHS and Sec. of Defense Mattis.

You also have to consider the long game. Losing the house probably helps Trump in 2020.

How great would it be to see Trump choose the replacement of Ginsburg on the Supreme Court?

If they do it will considerably increase Trump's chances of winning in 2020. Normal people are sick of all the leftist horseshit we've seen since he won, which will only get worse if dems win the house.

Losing the house means the people want to stop trump more than they wanted to re elect Obama who couldn't flip the house in 2012 due to the gerrymandering.If Dems and independents can overcome the gerrymandering to take the house its just a warm up for 2020,trump is toast.
