Wasserman given the boot

I wager the Bern said that was THE first condition to get him to stand down.

The Bern has power, and since he can no longer be the presumptive nominee (barring some strange event where Clinton is indited over emails), he has to try to figure out how he can make the Democratic Party one that truly represents its growing electorate of young, < 45 years old, people.

Mark my words: The DNC, and the RNC for that matter, are on the clock.

Actually he has no power. He lost. Since when does losing give you power. He would have power if he could truly contest the nomination. He can't. He is a loser. Look at his life and you will see a long list of failures.

Bernie's only leverage is to threaten to throw his support to Trump or, more plausibly, to tell his acolytes to sit out the election. Unlike the sore losers on the republican side, he isn't prepared to engage in such outright treachery. He knows that Hillary is a corrupt POS but she also has been a hard left operative her entire career. He has to feel pretty confident that she can damage the country as bad or worse than Obama has managed to do, given her stunning record of failures at State.

Well if anti-Trump people want to sit out the election, that is their right. What is the matter with that?

Different question. I said Bernie's leverage was to tell his supporters to sit it out. He won't do that because he hates the country almost as much as Obama and he knows Hillary is certain to do far more damage to us than Trump.

The people I hear talking about sitting out rather than voting for Trump tend to be either neo-con columnists or establishment party pols who see Trump as a threat to their gravy train.

I gave you a like, but I don't really think Obama and Bernie want to ruin the country. But it does seem they want to ruin the part of America I like.
