Is there anything you guys didn't blame Obama on?

Your special needs president considers the response and follow-up to Maria in Puerto Rico a roaring success, "one of the best." WTF do you expect from objective observers to such ignorance? And what can you now expect from him going forward? Another unsung success story in the Carolinas? How can the guy learn from mistakes when he doesn't even know he makes them?

First let me state that the failed response in Puerto Rico is primarily is due to corruption and ineptness of the territory and local governments squarely on the island. The federal government provided plenty of assistance which was not distributed or frittered away. As noted in the other thread there is still an entire road full of cases of water a year after the storm that were not distributed by island officials.

In the Carolinas -- as we have done through many storms we rely on the state and local governments for the initial response in the first week or two after the storm. The Feds only come into play later with FEMA and Housing follow-up as required.

Freddie... do you honestly think the outcome in PR would have been any different if Maria had hit on Obama's watch?
The problem from the start was their grid. What the hell can you do? You can't just wave a wand and fix that stuff overnight. Its a big deal; a logistical and operational nightmare.

I mean we can say... "Why didn't Obama rebuild their grid before a disaster happened"? Its not Trumps fault their grid and their last mile was a POS left over from the 1950's. All those fatalities were an indirect result of no electricity. I think Trump did all that was humanly possible to get that place back to normal as soon as possible. It would have been the EXACT same thing under Barrack.
 
To believe the idiot left one has to detach themselves from reality and pretend that prior to Trump the world was perfect in every single way. In regard to the climate you also have to believe that the weather and climate were perfect and in a static state since the dawn of time prior to the evil man and his cars.
I also was stuck by a train this morning. Damn Trump, damn him to hell for creating train tracks.
