Washington Mutul bank run?

Hehe. I can imagine the FDIC process of reimbursing account holders. Wait in a long line for hours with your claim form (somewhat like the DMV), then fill out loads of forms while producing 3-4 different forms of identity, and then your form is taken into consideration. Then an underpaid unmotivated government worker whose boss is an a**hole then processes your paperwork. Months and months go by while you call a 1-800# trying to find out what happened and then that government worker gets fired with the claim forms a mess all over his desk and another unmotivated worker then comes in to process the mess.

Really?

You got a source for that? Besides the FDIC rhetoric of "as soon as possible" and a claim that normally they do it in a few days, since they have soooo many cases to back it up, let alone a real run on multiple banks.

Maybe you should try to read the full documents. Or bring up even one case where government insurance on finances has been successful under a real test.

I see you've worked in the Whitehouse...
