I was a horrible stockbroker, but one day I received a box of sales material from Calvert Socially Conscious Mutual funds and I just printed up a bunch of random lables and sent them out.
People started coming out of the woodwork. People who had never invested in stocks wanted to buy. Back then it was mainly tobbaco they were against, but also pollution.
The load was 4%, so it kept me going another month.
To say that long term investors will buy no matter how much the CEO is paid or how many jobs are exported may not necessarily always be true in the future.
(That's stockbroker talk, you see, almost everything will not necessarily be the same in the future.)
