Yeah I agree with everything you say. All things in moderation of course. And there's no doubt alcohol has destroyed more lives than weed. You won't wreck a car being stoned; you may get lost 3 miles from your house, or you may drive 60 mph in the fast lane with your turn signal on for 20 miles.... but you won't wreck the bitch. Not to mention all the families that have suffered or have been completely destroyed by a raging alchy. As I think we should. Never a big weed smoker myself, I have a lot of friends who do, and a lot of friends that drink way too much. Just from the people I know, I have seen alcohol destroy more lives than weed. As with anything it affects people differently, have seen it make some friends worthless and kinda dumb(but content with their worthlessness), and have some friends that seem to get ambition, energy and great ideas. Not saying it's better than alcohol, but it's certainly not worse.
The only thing that concerns me about legalizing weed is that the use among young people will probably significantly increase, despite the government's best efforts. Like vaping. And it can be kind of a gateway; depends on the kid really, but I don't think it'll make a dent in underage drinking, it'll just go hand in hand. And unless a kid is destined to be musician or an artist... it sure as hell affects reading comprehension and math in school. We will get more stupid. Makes for good music though if one's got talent, thats for sure.
Either way, I'm 100% sure its gonna happen regardless of who gets in the WH or which party. Just gotta figure out how to keep it out of the hands of anyone under 21. Good luck with that.
