Unfortunately I do not think that is the objective. We are civil and we are only looking for a few individuales and whoever stands in our way, but if the trickery continues and we continue to be had, well than unneeded casualties may occurr.

you are making analogies that have nothing to do with the current conflict ie. A meteor wiping France. The meteor is a foreign object hitting earth, there is no moral issue in trying to destroy it or evacuate the country. Although, anyone smart would know that if that were to happen, there would not be a need for the US to intervene, just flee to the border or send nukes in space to destroy it.
2) Saddam Hussein might be a Hitler in his own way which does not create the urging necessity to kill half the Iraqi nation. Everyone knows that this liberation is nothing of a cake party. If Saddam was really a threat to anyone, I think we would get consensus in the UN. There is a moral issue at stake here, no one can argue this. The one's that do argue are in denial and just like in the market are not paying attention to the trend.
