WELL, I must say Selling stocks on the way up...isn't always the best move.....

CWPC---Sold 3000 shares at 5.46, Sold 3000 shares at 5.91
The dam thing closed at 6.18 (23.6% higher today)....Oh well

I now am back to the 3000 shares I originally purchased last year at .27c for a 2030% return......BOOYA....I think Cramer would agree.....It just kills me that he never talks about OTC listings......I know exactly why!!!!.....But if I read a few of their last articles right, CWPC has hired an expert on Sarbanes-Oxley to help them move off the OTC and onto a major exchange....If this is the case wouldn't it be intelligent to own the stock before this happens.....HELLO....Oh Well---I just want him to pop it a few more dollars when he mentions it on his show( And he will One Day----When It's been on the AMEX or NDAQ and trading at $17.00----He won't be late though---- in 10 years it will be one of the best Oil Sands Play in Canada).......GREED IS GOOD......This company owns the land right next to SUNCOR land in the Athabasca Oil Sands Region of Canada....They just got approved for another 150 Core hole drilling program....

Just thought I Mention This one again for like the 10th time in this journal.....HINT--- HINT (But I wouldn't be a buyer at this level---I expect it to fall back near $5.30 level if oil keeps declining)

SO Yesterday I bought CWPC at 5.97......Today it sets all time high at 7.45...

So My original 3000 shares bought at .27c ($810 original position) now has a 2,450% return (OVER 20K return)

Awesome Forum. I've gone back to page 1 on this forum and there's definitely lots to learn from your posts. Could you recommend some reading material for someone who knows virtually nothing about options, and some step up material for after. Thanks. Or in your opinion what is the best way to learn to use them. ?

I for one am by far not the best person to talk to about options....I am good at finding momentum stocks however....Which could be very helpful with Long option strategies..

Remember Options are a ZERO SUM GAME....For every winner their is a loser....Be careful.....

When you Buy an option many things can go against you....You are always fighting Theta...Meaning as time decreases till expiration, the value of your option decreases....Also, If you buy on a day where news was just released about that stock--- Implied Volatility will usually be higher at the moment you purchased and will most likely revert back to a lower Implied volatility the longer you hold on....So even if the price of the stock is rising, but Implied Volatility and Theta are decreasing you option may not be gaining in value and could be decreasing.....

Options have many variables....Delta, Theta, Vega, Gamma, Rho

Before you ever trade an option you should understand how these effect the price of the option as your holding period increases....

Also many option strategies exist to minimize risk or to capitalize on changes in Implied Volatility (Just one of many strategies)

Many fortunes have been made and lost in the option game....

Unless One really understands options they should never have more than 10% of portfolio in Pure Speculation(Options) .....Remember the Random Walk....I have seen many outstanding quarters where the stock actually fell in price and vice versa.....ALSO you are competing against some real PRO's in the option game....Yes they will give you some crumbs early on and let you get your feet wet....Then you could get cleaned out time an time again by guessing wrong.....Get rich quick happens everyday in the option world, But remember OPTIONS ARE A ZERO SUM GAME...

BTW:---I have found the most amazing position to put on come MONDAY Morning.....I can't tell you where I am "going fishing" Monday....But I will let you know about this Easy Money once I catch (BUY) it....
 
From your journal I know you use VectorVest to screen your stocks. Was just wondering have you ever used ValueLine. They provide basically the same service as VectorVest but have being around a lot longer.
Have read some good reviews on them but would appreciate your opinon.
