Happy B Day $

Just thinking... almost to the day... you are exactly half my age.

I guess there's still hope !!

All the Best to You on Your B-Day!

Your posts are by far the most enlightening that I have found on the internet. Thank you for sharing and I hope you live to at least 100, doing what you love most.

Sto Lat!

I'm up this morning a little early...Reading all the headlines and trying to gauge what the strategy is going to be this week and I can't help but come write in the old journal.....

Well it's been a while since I posted one of these, but here it is...Portfolio 2008 as it stands today.....

Don't worry I edited real good to keep my information to myself, but it does have all the names of my open positions and the weightings....No closed transactions, no opening prices, no net worth (sorry guys), No opening dates.....

But the name and the position weighting are plenty.....

If you have any questions or information to share about any of the open positions I would be happy to discuss my outlook/opinion on why I own it.....

Net for 2008...22.369% (So far)----What Bear Market

Great performance.

Are you still using VectorVest?

If so are there any strategies you think are working really well?
I like the explosive breakout strategy but obviously only when the market moves higher!!

I'm using it in many ways...But I'm thinking more macro....an example would be long Apartment Reit and short office Reit index(SRS) as a hedge.....Or long moving rental equipment and storage facilities....I use vector vest for the names and valuations to make my picks, but the ideas are usually just confirmed by vector vest.....If you could see how many positions were closed this year already when the position started to go against me.....Vector Vest keeps me up to date, but thinking outside the box has put me in the position I am today...No software can do that.....Research and data gathering of the real pros has contributed the most to my success...

Good advice. I agree one has to look at things from a macro level.

If one has a quality Professional advisor to bounce things around with it takes a lot of noise out of the market and allows you to focus. The cost becomes an investment.

Well done and thanks for updating .
