Want opinion on collective2

Quote from Ironplates:

one challenge i have with linking the system to a live account is because the choice of available brokers is not in alignment with my production accounts.

nevertheless, my system is not ready for live execution...will cross that bridge when and if i get there.

i think charging the subscriber $49 a week only if profitable fits best with my process and system when and if it goes live.

You won't get a single sub at that price point unless you're running something like 3x risk. No chance.

Why? What is your logic? Why 3x?

I currently have following reservations. Some systems look unrealistic. For example, a system trades not so liquid instruments, makes 300 trades in a year and achieves 100% return. That amounts to an average profit of 0.3% per trade. Obviously in real trading, after accounting for slippage commissions etc that 0.3% profit will become -0.5%, and +100% return fill become -150% loss.

Which means credibility for systems on C2 is limited, and the track record for the system listed there can't be used for attracting future investors.

Another issue is that they conceal any subscriber statistics. I would gladly pay my listing fee, I only I had an answer to a simple question: if my system ranks among 5% top systems, what subscription income should I expect? Will that income exceed my listing fee (which is $196/year) ?

It's not hard to manipulate your results on collective 2.

I don't agree with your observation. Otherwise, feel free to explain how you manipulate your results on collective 2?

The lag is a detriment. You can't front-run a move. If you have "100% marketable" rating then you're not using their fill-algo and it's a legit system. The only gaming would result from trading illiquid markets.

thanks for the feedback.

3x risk is the bare minimum for any trade i will do.

i aim for at least 4x, 5x and even 10x more often than not.

No offense, but nobody trades anything less on this forum.

3x risk is believed to be enough to let your winners outpace your losers that are stopped out.

i can go as low as 2.5x in a non directional setup, but compress the risk well above 3x after the first target get's hit.

Well, for one thing, you can keep running until you have a big hit, then you can just shut down and start a new system.

It's not hard to do something that works for a long time, and then one trade can wipe you out.
