So far, we are not in a bear market.
A bear market is only confirmed when people give up on stocks. Until then, it isn't a bear market, just a correction.

YOU don't even have the CNBC defintion correctly understood. Their definition is 20%. And the S&P did hit this even though recovery thereafter. A BEAR by CNBC defintion was registered ther eis no denying that!
And FYI, pls restudy BASICS ................... A lower low/ lower high on Daily timeframe is the first inkling that a reversal is underway. Then the application of dow theory confirms whether it is indeed or not. This is regardless the use of Trendlines or indicators, its is from pure Price action, the ral thing. Dow theory has stood the test of time.
See example below on SPX
Dow Theory confirmed the BEAR on 2/22/22 when the closing ow was taken out. But Dow theory then went on to double-confirm the BEAR because the rally was exceeded and then from 3/28/22 high it took out the closing low of 3/8/22
Boom! BEAR confirmed.
Now apply the same concept to DJI, DJT & Nasdaq Comp & for added comfort throw in NYA, & Dow Jones Composite & S&P 1500 composite.
Same screaming result!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEAR of epic proportions underway!!!!

That's just the say it is. Its been this way since time immemorial and always will be so. We never learn we repeat the same mistakes over and over every 70 years or so. Warren saw this 70 year factor and uses it wisely. Kudos to Warren.

You gots to take short profits at or near each wave low and then either go to sidelines and wait for next short or go Long to profit in both direction but your timing better be real damn good because when the bear rally ends its a YUGE drop in the first several seconds of reversal. You gots to jump in on the aborning short at or near 38.2% - 50% bear rally retracement. these figures are cast in stone and have stood the test of immemorable time.
