Indeed. If fact, Bush did what no president in history did to my knowledge. He lowered taxes for the rich as he waged war, thereby raising the national debt both substantially and irresponsibly. And as Obama picks his way through the rubble trying to put the pieces back together again, you have the audacity to point your finger at him. As for health care reform that the Republicans are now all talking about, where were they during the Bush years when Bush was lowering taxes for the rich? Lowering taxes that increased the national debt your children will have to pay for, all the while encouraging increased consumer spending as Americans sunk further into personal debt.
