Walgreens CEO Roz Brewer was the highest paid female CEO in 2021,

And while the rest of the S&P was up about 30% last year. Walgreens was flat. Currently down 13% YTD. High pay for shit performance.

Why are you posting SHE vs SPX when the conversation is specifically about Walgreens?

while the stock has not performed well under her leadership (and I don’t know if it’s her fault or an industry issue), her comp isn’t out of line for the CEO of a 40bn company.

edit: I just compared wba to CVS, it has performed very poorly. However she only started a year ago. Likely the compensation is to woo her from Starbucks. Time will tell if Walgreens made the right choice for CEO. It’s too early to say right now.

SHE vs. SPY: Best objective proof that I can offer that investing based on the gender of people running a company is a horrible strategy.

Why do we even have articles about the highest paid female CEOs? I'm as interested in that as I am highest paid CEOs who are under 5'8" tall. As for Starbucks, how did it do last year? Probably didn't have to pay her much to leave a sinking ship. Pretty sure she's smart enough to realize most people won't pay $5 for a cup of coffee during a recession.

These guys would probably qualify, if they were still CEOs (one of them didn't quite make CEO, but he'll probably be ok:)).

Well you are interested enough that you commented on it and even did some research to prove a point.
