Wager on GBPUSD

oh shit, I forgot I had a resting order in to add, just got filled at 5443. Makes me long from 5317. I am the worlds worst GBP trader and quit trading it altogether for a long time. Man, this really blindsided me (to the good side). I assumed the brits do it like we do and already had it all priced in

now I'm not sure what the hell to do
 
Well, I am staying long GBP. This month's close for USD will indicate whether there is a trend change (in USD's uptrend).

I'm net short both eur and usd. Long gbp is just a lucky part of the whole trade. In America nobody gives shit who wins an election. Our politicians are just unofficial employees of the S&P 500. I guess on a small little island like UK a politician can move a market.
 
oh this is just getting silly. I've been adding to gbp.usd. and eur.gbp all night. eur.gbp 1.98% in just a few hours

this is a new strategy and now I'll never know if it is good or I just got really lucky on the first trade

everything in me wants to take the profit now, but that's not part of the strategy

I wasn't banking on the result of the election. Cons have been in power over the last five years, has GBP rallied or declined? Neither really, ranged. I was banking on a specific pattern that I trade in price and MACD's histogram.

ah, I got flat last night everything. That was just too good of a move too fast. And I didn't want to risk it all going into NFP.

I think I will stay flat the rest of the month and go over to paper and continue experimenting with my time orders.
