w00t! IB Trading Olympiad begins

Ouch... I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing bugs as well. Sometimes, my program does not execute trades for some reason. So I was at over 130K at yesterday's close, only to discover that my program didn't automatically sell at all this morning and I've fallen to 121K now.

As for the prize money, you'll need to get back to at least $100,000.01 (that's a +40% gain), since they only award people who've had a positive return. Good luck!

Wow, finally the level of competition is picking up. I made 6K in a week, but still fell from 6th to 7th. This week it looks like there are 5 new names, with four of them ranking 2 through 5th place. If anyone's interested, I've found some patterns from comparing the last three weeks of rankings. Last weeks changes had the same number of new faces, and the amount needed in order to place in 10th place has increased by 5000 both weeks. Projecting this over the last three weeks of the competition, that means 130K could put you in the top 10 (and likely in the top 13). The problem with this projection of course, is that I don't know how many total players there are. :confused:

Does anyone have rankings data (i.e. names and amount) from the first week of the competition? I'd like to have it to compare with the data I've compiled.
