Hey guys. Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I was trying to say that my code is completely hands off once it submits an order. That way I don't have to worry about power going out or internet going down or my 450 MHz beast of a CPU choking on Java. I haven't personally touched TWS except to check the balance and click the Yes button on the new "Accept incoming connection attempt?" dialog.
Suffered my first loss in a while, but made it back up. Current balance = $120,000.
I haven't calculated it, but my PF has to be like 10.0 or more right now. There were streaks that did backtest that well, but there were also streaks of 0.25 PFs. If I finish with a 2.0 PF or better overall I will be happy.Historically in backtesting what has your profits looked like? Is this what they have looked like in your backtesting results or is this unusual behavior?
Oh, I see. Maybe that's why this year's applications must make at least 25 trades. I'm OK there; I cleared 25 round trips during the first day I was running on the short time interval. From what I heard concerning last years winner is that he made only a couple of "lucky" trades in the first few weeks of the competion which doubled his account and then basically sat on his lead the rest of the way through....
