Since I day trade stocks, I want to know how my peers trade them. So VWAP became popular and I see it used at firms like SMB (they also use anchored vwap which makes more logical sense). I don’t think it has any real meaning in institutional order flow nowadays, but all I need is a level that is being closely watched by other day traders so we all can be on the same side at the same time.
