Vox Accidentally Proves Blue States Have 42 Percent More Mass Shootings Than Red States

OK, for the conservative gun nuts here who of course have trouble with basic math. Since Aus gun laws their deaths have gone down about 70% while during the same period the US deaths have gone down only about 30%.

Strict gun laws work and hand guns and assault rifles should be banned.

Why people living in one of the world's most civilised country would rely on guns? And death penalty?

if you read your study...

"We found that homicide and suicide firearms deaths had been falling before the reforms, but the rate of the fall accelerated for both of them after the reforms."

if you read other studies you would find that nothing changed with respect gun murders until the aussies put a lot more money into cops and law enforcement.

So you're saying US should "make it rain" for the police budget? But wait, isn't that socialism?

I had not really considered the idea that providing for police or an army makes a state socialist.
Does it?

Pretty funny considering blue states contribute much more to the budget, red states are takers. But don't let facts bother you.

Once again, let's look at the truth about Blue and Red states...

The concept that 'red' states are the 'moochers' is absurd.

This article from USA Today "New Yorkers lead pack in government benefits" compiled data showing which states had the highest per capita expenditures for every type of government-provided benefit and blue states top the list and red states made up most of the bottom 10.

Top 10 - Most dependent on government aid
1 New York
2 West Virginia
3 Rhode Island
4 Maine
5 Pennsylvania
6 Massachusetts
7 Vermont
8 Kentucky
9 Michigan
10 Connecticut

Bottom 10 - Least dependent on government aid
41 South Dakota
42 Nebraska
43 Wyoming
44 Idaho
45 Georgia
46 Texas
47 Nevada
48 Virginia
49 Colorado
50 Utah

Omg not again please. No wonder a tiny ethnic minority in the US is enriching itself beyond any measure while the rest of the sheep are attacking each other and never come to rest.

I posted even more convincing stats on US gun law strictness correlating positively with lower number of gun related deaths but it fell on deaf ears. At some point we have to give up to reason. It was actually fun to watch the gun fanatics talk amongst themselves over several pages not noticing everyone else stood aside and laughed their asses off. With some people you can't reason, mate. Just have another few mass shootings occur then there will be a majority in society in favor of toughening up gun laws and bans on certain guns. It will happen just gotta be patient. Just feel sorry for the few more victims of such crimes that need to be sacrificed to get the NRA kicked out of DC

You cannot just take out one piece of the puzzle and focus on that, you have to look at the WHOLE picture:

These are net numbers, take a good look.

We already have that majority. Over 90% for expanded background checks.
