Context is everything egits. There is zero doubt in my mind that Fauci knew if covid 19 started to spread in the US it was absolutely a major /" uuge" problem. He mentioned the CDC doing its work etc. to prevent this. He was saying that on that day it was not a major problem yet inside the US, not that it was not a major problem.
So, it was absolutely clear and everyone including Trump knew it was a huge danger. But.. The POTUS was not willing to act.
