Wow... you're totally ready. You just need the underground shelter like Zuckerberg is building!

Why would you build an underground bunker on a private island? I guess having too much money can do funny things to your head.

I bet they won't be able to repeat this same feat again. I know, the saying "you only need to get rich once" comes to mind, but there is no way the next 20 years are like the last 20 years. The other saying "don't confuse brains with a bull market" is quite applicable here.

I heard the same thing in 2002. I also heard the same thing in 2009. I heard it in 2012 as well. I heard it in 2019. 2020. 2021. 2022. 2023.

The SPX is a tough benchmark to beat. That’s why people are proud of themselves when they do it. Think about that.

That might be true, but at the same time, how much is that actually attributed to their trading skill and not just dumb luck? With Uncle Sam providing the backstop these days, ya don't need to be a whiz to make money. But how did they do in 2022, let alone in 2008?

A Wall Street boss once told me that there are a lot of smart people on the Bowery. skill is for ego.

We all try to prove our skill by beating the SPX. Think about that. Better to be dumb and rich than “smart” and poor.

None of us know the future and it’s why you always diversify . I have substantial money in real estate,cd’s ,bitcoin and gold in addition to my stock accounts .If shit hits the fan and the mkt started collapsing 50% plus i truly believe the fed would buy trillions of stocks to hold it up . Now the dollar might collapse and it’d be confetti but in nominal terms it’d stay up. Thus is why i diversify .

so you have no hoard of bullets to protect someone from taking what you accumulated?

interesting!

Dude, I've been trading ES since 2002 and let me tell you something. In a bear market....... You obviously haven't learned your lesson during the 2022 bear raid, even though you've been here since 2014.

Now I ain't saying the bear market is upon us, but your I-will-never-ever-sell permabull mindset will not help you in the long run. But enuf said. Good l*ck
%%
WOW are you that bearish, start of a bear market??
No such thing as luck; but have gotten my truck stuck in muck, hunting bucks............................................................................
LOL could happen on a fed day =hay:D:D
See how MAR closes.

Of course today is massively green and we are on our way to making yet another V. impossible to keep this market down.

Strongest, most dominant, most unstoppable bull market ever and nothing can keep this thing down for more than a day or so.

I voted 'who cares', but for me honestly thats 'I don't know;' too soon to tell by my eye technically.

My macro influencing factors are
  • Nation Debt and cost of debt service
  • Inflation is still way above target IMO - especially real inflation for the avg american
  • Individual Debt as % of income for americans (logic is at some point less mony for consumers to spend > fewer profits for corporations in that space > decrease in EPS > overvalued > selling pressure)
  • Powell hinting to rate cuts soon... typically ~ coincides with the lagging effect of restrictions in monetary policy
I believe we're due for a correction and possible reversal, but I don't believe it'll be within 2 weeks. Trend seems too strong at the moment, lacking any major macro economic event.

As long as volatility is there I will make money.

Actually, I kind of want a crash. Those FIRE people on reddit annoy me lol
