Volume--- how to use it and WHY

Quote from marketsurfer:

the wizard may be a bright guy in other aspects of business, but marketwise, these ideas just don't fly--other than to the complete marketnoob--as the rhetoric sounds sensical if you dont understand how markets really work.

How's that "finger crossing" working out for you? It's ok, shilling for Covel should put a few bucks in your pocket.

Quote from ProfLogic:

Really, posting a chart doesn't prove anything. Answer the question.

If you aren't using an accurate charting software the volume bars aren't correct.
It's been shown ad infinitum on this thread that price/volume bars create the exact same highs and lows (unless you think they don't, LOL), volume is irregular (much as time is) and that price ultimately ends up at the same place no matter what road it travels ... :)

P.S. Isn't it funny how these GURU's (jack hershey, ProfLogic, spydertrader, etc.) refuse to offer any type of PROOF that their system actually works, while demanding proof from others.

Too funny. :D :D :D

ROTFLMAO :p
Quote from MandelbrotSet:

LOL, you mean this guy who put on a Short trade today with his Market Call as the market was rising?? :p :D

I'm pretty sure that's a multiple-alias for ProfLogic. It would be great if a Moderator could confirm that information.

They are great for observing order flow, otherwise there is essentially no difference between them and the minute bars.

But when he starts talking about Physics as it relates to intraday trading (Big LOL), along with pretending that his trading is perfect (while never making a Live Call or showing his Blotter) over the intervening years, while we continue to have the same-old-same-old arguement, it's really just a waste of time and actually pretty boring.

Coupled with all the other nonsense he's pulled (insults, threats, name calling) as well liberal use of multiple-alias, he's [ProfLogic] really just a TROLL who continues to populate the Trading Boards in search of fresh meat.

Yuck! :p

Even someone with "zero" experience in the market can SEE the difference between Minute charts and Constant Volume Bar Charts.

Whenever you find your testicles to trade live in front of real people, you let me know.

Right ... except YOU couldn't figure-out which of the charts that I posted was a constant volume chart, and another poster had no problem figuring it out, LOL. :p

Whenver you find your testicles to make a LIVE CALL (under your ProfLogic alias) and post your BLOTTER (under your ProfLogic alias), you let me know. :)

is that really the wizard???  :p

Yep, I'm pretty sure it is. :D

He writes in the same self-grandiose manner, he has the same flunkies following him around as ProfLogic does, and he's put in some jibes-and-jabs which make me think it's him. But it's easy-as-pie to have a multiple-alias on ET, so I would need a Moderator to confirm my suspicion. :)

Or of course, ProfLogic could come on here and state unequivocally that it isn't him, at which point if I find out that it is, he will be branded as the biggest liar on ET. :p

Too funny. :D :D :D

The highs and lows are the same but the cycles, which are what are important, are different.

You aren't going to name the software are you? :D :D :D

I'll trade you heads up in front of live people Jimmy.
Strap it on and lets go. I'd love to have the opportunity to embarrass you in front of an audience. That should be PROOF enough.
What is proff?

I told you which was the minute chart. Your software is unknown so we will never know if your volume bars are correct.

Lets trade live Busboy. Put it up.
