Volume charts for ES

hi,

I am using 10000 volume chart for ES and seems to be fine.

But any other suggestions how much volume is good for
day trading ES.

10000 for ES seems fine in general. A lot of people in the PA journal use this size.

BUT: You shouldn't choose a size just because others trade accordingly. You should test some numbers and choose the one you are able to see patterns easily. This is quite subjective and what works for one trader is a mess for another trader...
 
Take a day's average volume... divide it by 81... you will have a chart of the same width as a 5 min chart.
