I'm enjoying our exchange (honestly), so one more go-around and then I'm off.
Quote from Xspurt:
Arrogance is when someone tells you volume doesn't signal all the time and might be a useful addition to a trading style but you insist with this window dressing that you know best about something you don't use.
No doubt for you it does, but it isn't necesary, as previously stated.
Quote from Xspurt:
I'd like to agree that trading is not about intellect, but try getting a trading position at any major brokerage without a top class degree.
That's quite an accomplishment in this day and age! (especially considering the fact that over 90% of the Board is probably Retail), LOL.
... Hey! another smart guy who realizes that trading
isn't about the intellect ... there's hope for ET yet.
Quote from Xspurt:
Risk management can be a successful style in and of itself but it can also be a cover for poor trading (not referring to you).
No one's disagreeing with that comment at all. Risk management is the tool that keeps you in the game long enough for your trading technique (some say EDGE) to build your account. B1S2 constantly stresses it in his trading ... unlike quite a few
"volume experts" on the Board (not mentioning any names).
Quote from Xspurt:
As for common sense? I think another word could be hindsight, but yes I take your point. I often look at what a trader has done with wonderment but it's after a brief discussion with them that a common sense error was understood.
Nope.
B1S2 is
all real-time, and he demands it of everyone who seeks to challenge his perspective, or claims to be giving out a "system that works". Tell you what, it sure does make you
tighten up your belt.

Hey, did you look at the scores for the vote? You're getting whacked real bad man
Hey, have you seen B1S2's real-time calls on his trading and market commentary (of multiple instruments)?
I bet he's got 99% of your voters beat, and 100% of the ET Gurus who expound on the virtues of using volume!
Ciao!
