I stated in my previous post that DNS went bankrupt. The company that owned them before was L&H. ScanSoft bought the rights from L&H for their speech recognition technology.

From an email inquiry: I also know that they came out with their DNS Pro 7 in March 2003. The historical period between releases for Dragon NaturallySpeaking is 14-16 months.
