VIX Special Opening Quotation

As a side note, I would not recommend holding any positions that have AM settlement into settlement day. Those settlement values are completely unpredictable. In some cases they are lower than the daily low or higher than the daily high.
Good advice--but I was prepared to pay my whole spread (and had in fact written it off as such already in my trade log).

It cuts both ways though....I'm sitting on a $100 winner that I was expecting around $600 in losses. :D

Also, symbol VRO seems to be the ticket here.

Absolutely - as long as you know how it works and prepared to take the risk, it's fine.

Both VIX and SPX SQs can make for interesting options or delta one trades if you have a strong directional bias going into it the night before. VIX has been especially exciting for a variety of reasons.

Today was exciting. I was short the 9.50 call, and long 2x the 11. The position has been red since I opened it 40 days ago for $1.00. Today, it's settling at 1.29, and looking a lot better in my trade log since I was already showing it as a 1.50 closing debit
