Quote from version77:
But how long did they survive for? I don't think they lived very long did they?
Twenty to Thirty years max?
Maybe genetically modified, chemically treated, hormone injected
crap is actually doing us some good!...
And lets not forget the dead singed animal carcasses we eat...
That just has to be healthy for us...
I read in the bible that Moses lived to be over 600 years old. Wonder if thats true or just a fairy tale? If so, wonder what supplements he used and where I can get some.
Sorry, hope that doesn't bring religon into this discussion.
I think there may be a lot to be said for having the right attitude. Why is it that hypochondriacs are always sick?
My grandfather died at 84. He was old school russian/ukranian. Worked as a truck driver for 45 years and never took a sick day. He would also sell back all his vacation time because he didn't need it. His attitude was "if you don't go to work every day, you are weak". Even though he was an alcoholic and would many times drink all night and then sleep for a couple of hours then work a long day shift, he never got sick. Smoked like a fiend too. The first time he ever got sick in his whole life, it killed him.
Then there is my first karate instructor. He worked out all the time. Eat great. Was a perfect physical specimen. He died from stomach cancer at 35 years old.
How is that fair? Is it good/bad genetics? Maybe. Or do some people just think they will not ever get sick, so they don't?
I don't have answers, just some random thoughts.
