I visited the ED pit (not during an NFP) but it was still a busy day (PMI). My firm was moving huge size and our broker took me and my wife to the top step and we watched for a while. Then he walked us into the pit right as the numbers were announced. I believe this was in 2002 or so.
Fucking great times.
I think he was a REFCO guy....
