Why are you surprised at this? What do you expect? This is the result of a culture that has so lowered it's standards that people, especially young people, can't deal with the real world. In a society where there is no such thing as failure, no consequences for bad behavior, no expectation to endure even the slightest problem, the result is a population so pussifed that they cannot deal with any of the problems that come with day to day living. Violence at home is hardly "out of control". The police do a fairly good job of stopping crazed individuals once they are notified.
The government is not a "corrupt military regime". They are elected representatives, many of whom are doing a fairly good job of representing my own opinion of how things should be run.
The government doesn't exist to ensure "citizens' basic needs (health care etc)". The government exists solely to ensure that one group or individual does not infringe on another's individual rights. The government does not exist to provide for you or to protect you from yourself. It exists to protect you from others.
There is no right that allows you to force others to give of themselves so that you may live. Charitable people might offer to help you in this regard, but to force others to work for your benefit is a form of slavery, no matter how bad off you are. This includes socialized medicine and welfare.
