I believe Larry Williams also posted here. I think he actually used his real name as his handle, not sure. I think I may have exchanged a few posts with him. No attacks though. I actually defended the guy when some posters took the liberty to chew him out on the tax evasion stuff. Oh I remember, I asked him about his daughter Michelle who won the traders world cup. That's the actress. That's the only thing I talked to him about. But again, no hidden or concealed identity there either. All these guys pretty much tell us who they are. These people are not exactly "celebrities".

I understand that there are some well known traders, fund managers, authors, etc that have posted on here revealing their identities, etc...
OTOH, we don't know how many individuals of similar merit have posted on here and would have no interest in revealing who they are for any number of reasons.
Prior to the establishment of P&R, I'm sure there would be less apprehension...and if Baron wants to shut down P&R and kill off alot of traffic, then you are probably correct that this site would return to what it once was, a very, very long time ago.

LOL. Ahh yes, I do remember that exchange. I didn't know who that was at the time. Honestly, that thread was very out of character for a guy managing over 100 million. LOL. Needless to say, we pretty much rallied straight up to 1550 from that 1100 level he thought we were going to crash from. But I'll concede I was hard on him. I totally forgot about that exchange until now. I had a little sharper tongue back then. In my defense to those who were not around from 2003 to 2007 during one the biggest bull market rallies ever, we had "sky is falling" threads pop up every other day. Every freaking 3 handle down move was the beginning of a crash. I have to admit, that got very annoying after a while and I took that out on poor Neal.

No, that's jimmyjam. Met the guy at surf fest 2009.
He didn't post anonymously. His name was known to all. Go back and re-read his last thread which was, I don't know, 500 pages long. It was practically a biography.
Interesting thread, i never saw it or knew who he was. After reading a few of his posts he seems pretty mellow and humble for a high roller. Thanks for the link. Thanks for posting this. Yeah, Neal is one of the best under the radar guys on the Street. He taught me pretty much everything I know about hedge funds and how the market really works-- Quality guys like him rarely post here any longer due to the troll problem and hate vibe. NB was personally trained by the great Izzy Englander of Millenium but was willing to spend time with a guy like me with no contacts, introducing me to many of the top guys in the business. It's really sad to see what happened to elite trader since 2006-- just read the mindless marketsurfer gonzo hate vibe on the "real name" thread. It's likely 1 to 3 angry bitter beings with multi aliases causing all the trouble-- all they have to do is put marketsurfer on ignore and problem solved.
THis is why the site HAS TO SWITCH to the proposed PRO version. to bring back the value. I took alot of value from this site, and try to give back what I have learned but a few loudmouth assclown bozos ruin it for everyone. surf
