Violation of member conduct rules (Trendlover)

That would be a GREAT idea! The quality of posting here would go up ten fold. Not to mention it would allow you to integrate ET over to Facebook and Linkedin much more easily.

I agree. Would love to see elite with real names, real pictures and integrated with linked in

It will turn this site truly professional rather than just a mud slinging fest -- and hopefully attract real professionals rather than the phonies who populate the site currently.

Trendlover, you've called "a lot" of people a pussy on this board. If you are going to attack other members, why not register your own account? It looks like Baron might be making some changes soon. How do you feel about registering your real name?

No I do not. Who is "a lot" Lucrum? I will not apologize.

I will not register my name, that is how I feel. I feel afraid if crazy people on the internet can find me with so much information. So I can read ET with no registering. I really love to read the traders talking.

Gabfly didnt get banned because of his posts, he repeatedly got banned becaue he tried to tell the moderators how to run the site, and he wouldnt settle for it unless he got his way, he was an insane narcassist who thought the internet was created solely to cater to his needs.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am not talking about (why) Gabfly is banned. I say is so wrong to banned Gabfly, then after he banned, the thread is created to talk bad about him. They take away Gabfly right to speak, and they do not take away the rights of posters to talk bad about Gabfly. GaBfly can not defend with response. WRONG.

Well, I guess it's about time to start migrating ET over to real names anyway. If a billion+ people can post under their real names on Facebook

I used an alias on Facebook. So don't assume everyone is willing to share everything. We could also just sign in with our Soc. Sec. number....

But what the hell, after all Carlos Danger is quite a common name....

The first thing we teach kids about the internet is that it's a dangerous playground. Never give out personally identifying information.

As to the psycho majority who choses to put their real identifying information on Facebook, let them continue to do so while their houses get robbed because they're on vacation, their kids get stalked, kidnapped, raped, etc. Not for me, thanks.

You deliver pizzas and play the ukulele in hotel bars. What could you possibly need to hide behind an alias?

Almost impossible to do with a VPN. We've discussed this at length on ET. Members here seem to brag about how there is no way possible for anyone to track their IP and their whereabouts. There was an entire thread with marketsurfer where everyone came out of the woodwork claiming how easy it was to be invisible.

The point I was trying to make was that if the second person's IP address differed, that would (or could) show that the first person wasn't guilty.

Yeah, the one person here who enjoys giving out his real name is a real high quality poster.

Name the last time any public person was stalked and killed--- yeah it happens but remain exceedingly rare. I'm proud of my contribution to this site and my small time success in the financial business-- entering it knowing nothing , no one and having zero educational pedigree. Even a hated guy like Tim Sykes can publish his home info without any issues. Not to mention Sykes directly confronting penny stock promoters and other assorted rouges. Grow up and grow a set of balls.

You peeps are seriously paranoid.

Guilty of what? I'm not accusing her of anything. She openly admitted to posting under a friends account. She most certainly has a different IP unless she lives with the guy. I simply wanted her to register her own account instead of posting under someone else's.

It is not just like that. Morons on this website would bring up against me my 5 marriages, 7 bastard children and 20 years in prison* as a valid argument in a debate about TA. Who needs that?

P.S.: * ....and I still left out half of the bad stuffs... :)
