Video of a trader blow up Today, NSFW lol

Quote from scriabinop23:

i'm not sure... i didn't actually pay critically close attention, although probably not since the watermark covers the lower left corner and i think he browsed over it.

its fascinating to me that this guy wants attention for his losses... I'd go into hiding (and i've done it) upon something like that happening.

Maybe he looks at it as helping others not to follow in his path and that karma will return to him because of it, or maybe he just needs to tell someone about it and does not want his friends, parents, girlfriend etc to know the true amount.

is that you vol? nice to see the persona behind the nick....

spiacente per l'accaduto ma non e un enorme danno finanziario..di sicuro non catastrofico. sono certo che puoi rivendicarti...il tutto se assumi un tono ultra-ottimisitco e super-determinato.

Good Bye.........I hope you all have a nice life. I need to be to work in 2 hours, and I can't manage this position, I have to sell out. About 40k in 2 days,,,,,,,,,,,,gone. Speechless. One bad trade, is all it takes. 2 and a half years of trading thrown down the drain on 1 trade. Who would've thought the Futures would tank as much as -500pts on YM with the US markets closed. I didn't, and I never really wanted to be in this position, but I couldn't accept the small loss.

Go ahead and link me and show the world how much of an idiot I am. Leave the comments of how stupid a trade I put on.

This video should be a requirement for any one who thinks at stop is not important in trading.

the guy has a blog and i believe he posts his trades on video. i give him credit for showing this one. it also assists other traders into realizing how vulnerable we truely are in this world of risk taking.

Pure stupidity -
the same happened to me once - more
than a decade ago - no internet trading yet at that time however.
One big Mercedes in a couple of hours.

It was one of the best lessons I ever had to learn.

Your number of your posts suggests that you have had the chance to learn a lot here and my recommandation would be to restart and take the formerly unknown chance to study those successful traders who offer their
advice for free.
Even if you are scared to death at the moment take it as a chance and don't waste your time with self-pity.

Best of luck.

His saving grace seems to be that he is young, probably single and has a job. Very much unlike a friend I know who almost blew out last week after about 10 yrs successful trading, a family and no other income.
Could you elaborate more on how your friend blew up? What it a steady grind lower or a sudden huge loss? I hope it wasn't an all-in bet with no stop loss like the guy in the video, considering your friend had 10 years experience..

I feel terrible for the guy because I know the agony he is going through. He appears to have a decent head on his shoulders, he just made a series of errors that under normal conditions he was probably able to get away with in the past. We always need to remember that anything is possible, and this was the day that a black swan landed in his lap.

His candor should be appreciated - he's got balls to be posting his emotions on YouTube.

Every trader with a pair of balls has experienced what he has. Sure, its fun making 30k in 30 minutes. The money gets to your head and you think you can do it all the time. You start thinking you own the market and grow a big ego.

Then you get ass raped and learn your lesson the hard way. Probably comes out stronger from this.

It's is almost certain he will make an even larger mistake trying to recover those losses. No way he'll go back to a grind when he was so accustomed to the 06-07 gains.

He'll move all-in on a rate cut only to see that rally fade 10 seconds later?

Agree best thing is too stop and do nothing for a week. See whether he can just sit on his hands and watch, knowing that he is down big.
