A Cary woman was arrested Friday on charges of driving while impaired, assault on a government official and resisting a public officer, according to online jail records.

If it was your daughter, you wouldn't think it was so funny.

Considering the DV problem in this country, do you really think it is a good idea to encourage 250 pound men to punch women in the face? Maybe your daughter is too smart to drive drunk, but do you want her living in a society where men are free to punch out women who get out of line? I know they're cops supposedly doing a job, but they should be able to subdue a drunk woman without punching her.

Actually there is a debate in local forums where people are saying they want to see the police dashcam video. Others are pointing out that the bruises in the photo appear to be more than one day old so it is likely the eye may not be related to the police incident whatsoever. We will see how this all turns out. Certainly has everyone locally in an uproar after the recent Florida controversy.
