This question does not pertain to a multi-monitor system.
I am looking to get an older non-PCIe system to drive a monitor digitally with a resolution of 1920X1200.
This system has maxed out memory at 2gb and an upgraded PSU.
I am looking at a Quadro FX 1000 Agp card.
The specs say that it will drive one monitor at 3800X2400 over dual link DVI.
The monitor I have is not dual link DVI but single link.
I thought I read somewhere that if a card will do 3800X2400 over dual link DVI, it would drive at 1920X1200 over single link DVI.
I have searched and searched and I unable to confirm that dual link to single link translation.
Here is the spec from the manufacturer's documentation.
Dual DVI output - Drives two independent digital displays at 1600x1200, or one at 3840x2400
Can anyone confirm that dual link DVI to single link DVI translation?
