Must be tough talking to several people here who actually are friends with Victor when your information is rumors, inuendo and or dredged up out of a book/articles.
VN is far from perfect but one can judge his talent by the several billion dollar fund managers who have come from his tutoring.
trust me, i am going to take my first hand experience and the word of several billion dollar fund managers concerning VN's trading&market acumen over the lonely no name wannabees here.

Seriously Surf, why do you think that friends are the most unbiased reporters of one's foolishness? Real friends are there to slap someone to his senses (intervention) when one makes mistakes, not for covering them up. If I had friends like you, I would kick you in the ass so hard, that you would never deffend me again.

You want to be a journalist of finance. But you make a MAJOR moral mistake:
You give up integrity for access!
Once you actually grow balls and dare to ask uncomfortable questions and not being affraid that the next time you won't get the interview because you don't play nice, THEN you are going to be a real journalist.
And please stop the uncritical deffence of VN, because it is really unbecoming and nobody respect you for it, not even VN.
What did I miss? Well, I think I gave you enough to think about...
