I have finished the skip through of the book. I was mostly interested about the trades and returns...I didn't find the answer, why he went to work for Soros though...Probably for managing more money.
If one concentrates only on the trades described by Vic, one can make an interesting note of that 80-90% of the time he talks about losing trades. I am not sure why, I would have welcomed more of the winning ones....
One more reference to that trade tells us the size. p. 378.
Talking about the silver move of 79-80:
"I was short silver throughout the entrie run-up and lost a few million in the process."
