Vertical Spreads for Aggressive Growth

:p it didn't...we need a support group for antsy traders who need to sit on their hands.....Cache don't trade just because your bored! If I had held back ONE more day on my buying back a put I'd have saved $800 bucks:eek:

I'm not really wanting to trade because I'm bored. I'm wanting to trade because I'm way too delta negative right now. This goes for both my real account and the one I'm trading on this thread. I'm not bored, I'm ANXIOUS. I stand to make a bunch of money if the market decides to take a breather and back off a little bit, but it doesn't seem to want to. I seems to want to take a sideways breather. This doesn't help me except for theta decay.

Anyway, that seems to be the one drawback to my trading style. On a continued move I occassionally find myself open on one side because I take profits on the other side faster than I can replace the positions. If I try to stay balanced, I end up getting into mediocre plays.

Gee, you really have no mercy on yourself.

Long time ago I learned from Leo Melamed interviewed about silver trade, closed too early, so few milion $ were not cashed.

He said he never counted how much he would have made. IMHO it is great. Nothing can hurt you more "what if"

Yep, sorry.

I`m asking as I was closing my positions using that feature. My order was hanging for a while... When finally I closed the rest below my price limit manually (leg by leg), it got filled.

Maybe this (spread) works in long term, but sometimes is tricky.

Tell me though. Even if you had $100MM account. Wouldn't giving up $500K seem like a lot?

I could actually drop the limit price by .05 right now and get filled, but I told myself that I want the extra .05.:D PAAS is holding dead still right now. I don't think I could even leg into it for the credit I want.

I'm actually not feeling too bad about it...I believe my rational (for buying it back) was right...I never worry about losing money if I'm taking winnings...but when I close a losing play and it immediately changes course...ugh!:(

Happens every time though. You just sit there and look at it like "you dirty bugger". Then it throws up a middle finger as it rides off into the sunset with your money. VLO did that to me in NOV for about $2k.

I'm actually not thinking at all that I will get into PAAS. It almost never moves during the last hour. We'll see what happens tomorrow.:)

Still moving down, but I'm not liking the news they put out yesterday.

In regards PALM. They are having a hard time with that resistance still. I thought we might see the breakout this morning. Didn't happen. I think it is going to be very dependant on what happens with RIMM today.
