Yes, I am very pleased with how this month came out considering that I had multiple trades go bad on me. One thing to remember is that I had the largest drawdown YTD this month, so I need to prevent that from happening again.

If this rally continues up toward the 1290 mark, I'm expecting to make some good money during the next few months.:)

1290-1300 is what i am looking for to open a big load of bearish positions also. It will certainly make for an interesting summer.

He posted a message on Coach's forum yesterday(?). He said he was busy on some business venture as I recall. He also said that he'd be updating his journal.
 
Yeah, I'm still around, just not very much. Sorry to those who follow this thread. I've been so busy with other things for the past few weeks that I haven't had time to screen for good trades. I'm 100% cash right now in my real acct also. Tomorrow I leave for a 5-day Yellowstone/Island Park fishing trip. My current/future partners are going, so I'm sure we'll talk a lot of business too.

Anyway, yes I've been spending a lot of time with a start-up business venture. You know, trying to get together as much money as possible while at the same time minimizing my personal monetary commitments. :D I love business though, so it's actually fun for me.

There is a chance that I will open a couple positions at the close today or early tomorrow morning before I leave. I will try to update real-time if that is the case and then we can get this journal back on track.

At this point looks like there is short term upward momentum for the market. We could hit the 1290 target Wed/Thur. Would you do a July or Aug spread? A July 1305/1310 would give you about 1.30 if we hit 1290 on Thursday with drop in the VIX of 2. With Aug spreads you could go out to 1320/1325 and get about $1.45, I think that would be the way to go.

Lots of speculation I know, just going through some different scenarios.
 
Back from vacation now and looking for some good positions. In the end I opted not to open anything before my trip because I would rather be concentrating on the fish. :D Now that the fishing is over I will get back to business.
