'79 XS-11 Special. 1100 CCs, mags, shaft drive, mine had a Kerker header. I had one of these I rebuilt after someone wrecked it. Scary fast back in the day, at least for me. :D

Nice! Mine is a very original 350/TH400, numbers matching engine. Base model C3s like mine are not very expensive yet. But that BB C2 your dad has dang sure is!

Check this out. Just sold for like $3 million. One of a kind '69 C3 (still looks a lot like mine tho! :D)

I have a 72 small block. All original with 32k miles. It even has a factory defect that the owner didn’t get fixed. I love it. My dad has a big block c2 properly restored.

I think there was one of these on bringatrailer. Something like GM only made 9 of them.

my dads big block is worth over a hundred K. (Maybe 150 now).
Mine is worth 30k or so. Yours is prob worth the same.
 
Yeah the C1s and C2s are fairly big money now. Rare and BB C3s too. Yeah mine is insured for $35k. For those looking into owning classic sports cars, Corvette C3 (68 - 82) is a good choice I think. Earlier years don't have plastic bumpers, or detuned emission control engines. You can still find deals and they are easy enough to repair and get parts for. Bodies don't rust out (but do crack). Frames and "bird cage" body support structures do rust tho. Fun cars.
