When my kids were in high school at the start of every year before school started there was a meeting for parents and kids about rules, eligibility, common sense, etc. Also, at those meetings was a presentation by a medical professional and for the last couple of years a parent on cardiac risk for kids participating in sports. They were asking parents to consider some testing for pre existing heart conditions, as they were finding too many kids with undiagnosed conditions collapsing, and in the case of the parents that showed up to the talk, kids dying. At the time pretty much every year there was a story of a kid with an undiagnosed issue collapsing on the field or in practice, and in a couple cases dying. This was just in our state.
You know what? My youngest graduated high school in 2019. Hmm, so all these talks and warnings were well before Covid and the shots.
