Vanzandt vs. Destriero Trading Competition

This thread started out pretty rad, it’s unfortunate the “competition,” isn’t. It’s weak sauce, really. The other thread is garbage. It might teach a n00b to blow up quicker, but that’s about it.

Anyhow, I put this out there to see if there are any takers:

an open et competition would be pretty fun. I’d be down to enter a real money $100k competition (real fills), any trading style, 90 days. $1k (5k?) donation to winners’ charity cause. This would have the effect of weeding out the type of competition we are witnessing. Ideally there would be 10 or so others involved. If anyone is interested... let’s get er done.

Agree, that would be great.

However, as unfortunate as it is, very very few readers have personal $100k trading accounts. Hence, the success of topstep and the other gauntlet firms offering $10k accounts.

Most posters are broke or strivers. So your challege will never materialize.

See any elite posters there? Did’nt think so. And that is only $10k entry! Posters on elite are struggling to pay their billls by borrowing money from their wives. Lol.

Nobody here has to trade this way. TrueType is implying that I am exploiting a statistical advantage. That ignores price as volatility. If I am throwing darts then do it. Post the trades here, Surfer. If there is such an advantage to buying flies then show us. Use mid and post the screenshot. No microstructure issues... no paying 800 when I am paying 750. Take a shot.
 
Note regarding contest. I would be far more interested in a real money contest with a significant prize pool with say half the money going to charity. A $5K entry fee; 10 contestants; $25K to the winner with $25K going to charity. It wouldn’t be much of a thread, as there is zero incentive to offer color, but posting the daily DD would get a lot of views.

$5K entry fee (or $500/$5K (split half to winner, half to charity))
Best risk-adjusted return
EOD drawdown marked
Limit of 20% in any single issue
No more than 5 R/T per day
Max EOD DD of 10%

Please invite Handle123 to show us how it's done! I bet at least some of the 13 people who trade for him can also round out the top 5 spots... Lol .:p

The last bullet point... if you’re going to go max dd, it shouldn’t be based on time (daily in this case). Not all of us are day trading.
 
His feels are hurt and he is accusing me of statutory trading... it wasn’t his idea to enter into this competition. He was forced to trade 1/3 of his account in VMC. No other tickers available. None.

He could care less— so he cares. I always knew he cared!

The difference between mute and moot is not semantics. It’s 6th grade grammar.
