Vantage Point Software

Thanks you guys! I was seriously considering VP a try with 10 modules which would have cost $4,500.

Then I remembered this site, ET, so I came over here a found out that the consensus is that VP is just a MA x-over system, at best, or ascam at worst.

So reading has been actually equal to a $4,500 profitable 10 minute, risk free trade.

Cheers.

The owners of Vantage point should be in jail.

Agreed VP is in the top 3 "worst" systems I bought and that after get 70% of my money back.

yeah but what versions are you using?

reviews say version 6 can hie over 72% accuracy when used alone

I think maybe people mess with it too much instead of taking its word for granted

Old versions didnt get much better than 50% correct, which anyone can do, then new one is improved.

Please inform if you are using the up to dat version 6, not any old trash gathering dust

And if you stil ldont want it, let me know, I'll have it

VP is not better then Slow Stochastics which is completely free.

So why would you pay for this software ?

If you really like following crossing lines then study the slow sto for several months and see how you do.

The company does a great job in the sales and marketing of the product.

Save your money!

bought for 10k. was happy with it but am moving to my own systems now.
can throw in csidata as well (free updates)
make me offer

I have only had software for a few months and have not spent as much time with it is I would like. I have six modules; S&P and five ag markets; I understand you can switch markets for free.
It works best in trending markets, as far as telling you when the market is choppy I have not figured that out, I have been trading on markets I have and have caught some nice moves on strong trends but the chop can take a lot of it back. I'm going to switch some modules to markets that tend to trend more. I think it has potential but is not the holy grail.
There's a holy grail?? Why r we all using that then??
I should also add that one of my fellow TradeStation users bought VantagePoint when she first started trading a number of years back - she consistently lost money trying to trade the VP output. So MarketTechnologies put her in touch with one of their VP specialist IB brokerages who traded the VP output for her in exchange for a commission.

I'll quote her directly from the TradeStation forum: "Trying to trend trade on the crossovers was a terrible losing proposition -- and I was paying a special VP broker (a lot!)to assist me in doing it correctly. But the market was choppy and I got relieved of my entire first tradeing account (as well as the $5000 for Vantage Point)!"

My point being that if a broker recommended by MarketTechnologies who *specializes* in trading with VantagePoint can wipe someones entire account out, how can you expect to do any better?

The biggest recommendation anyone can make for advocating any trading approach is whether they actually trade it themselves - and make money with it. In my opinion, if MarketTechnologies were actually trading their system rather than just selling it, I doubt that they would have made it into the 50 fastest growing Florida companies list!?! Indeed, I doubt they would be around at all.

I'm sorry if my posts are negative towards MarketTechnologies, but I sincerely think their product sucks and that they must know this and are (IMO) knowingly preying on every trader who is looking for an edge to improve their market trading - which is basically most of us (even a succesful trader wants to do better!). They suckered me those few years back, the blurb on their website can seem very convincing!

If you want to throw your money away, then take your trading dollars and lose it on the markets - the experience you will learn from actually trading is worth vastly more than buying Vantagepoint and losing still more in the markets trying to work their system, with no real benefit to you other than learning that you'd have been better off if you hadnt bought VP.

Just my 2c worth anyway.
It's always those that lose that bitch the most...if you thought it was going to make you a millionaire overnight or would always be completely accurate- then you are a lazy uninformed trader...it always takes time, dedication and patience regardless of the system you decide to try. I have been using it for years IN ADDITION to common sense and have been very happy....

It was awhile ago that I started this post, so I think I will share my experiences since I did.

I bought it with a full verbal guarantee of 1 month.

After finding out that it was one of the most useless pieces of software I could have imagined, I ask for a refund.

We fought back and forth with emails for a few days and they finally agreed to refund me less a 20% restocking fee.

This was a joke and an insult but I took the money and forgot about it.

My advise is stay away from this company but if you absolutely must see for yourself, negotiate a 100% moneyback guarantee in writing.

Never fails to amaze me-It's always those that lose that bitch the most..it's the freaking Market folks....if there were a single magic bullet we everyone would be using it and there would be no Market....if you thought it was going to make you a millionaire overnight or would always be completely accurate- then you are a lazy uninformed trader...it always takes time, dedication and patience regardless of the system you decide to try.
