Value Area Lines

I would like to apply value area lines on my 5 min. mini dow chart. My question is are they based on 70% of the volume of prior day's 24 hour period or 8:30 to 3:00 central time?

You decide the period. And there is no rule regarding 70%. No rule it has to be volume based either.

Not what you wanted to hear I'm sure, but anything worth using is worth learning how to use for your specific purposes.

Usually it's RTH. Some people will have two separate profiles 1) Globex 2) RTH.

Personally I use RTH along with multi day (composite) profile.
