Users on Ignore and blocked showing up in threads

This is a variation of a logic puzzle from ages past. I do not recall the answer, but it can be solved with a math formula IIRC.

Wait, I think it just came to me. Don't you ask him an obscure question, like "What is my age" or "What is my name"? If he answers affirmatively he is lying, and if he claims ignorance he is telling the truth?

I think I get it. He points to his own village because he wants to have his village get more business and be more prosperous, so he would not point to the other one.

If I am correct, then this is a huge variation of the whole True-False puzzle I was thinking of.

Liar will point to the wrong village(Truth tellers). 2. Truth teller points to his village.
