User Names On Elitetrader (a fun thread)

The signature says it all. (formerly EdBartako, but that was to unoriginal, besides, graduated from dialup to cable, therefore, new user name!!):D
 
Mine comes from the family always trying to pull me away from my interests in trading. Whenever they wanted me to go somewhere or do something and I wouldn't go or do it they would call me an old sourpuss. My granddaughter said, " grandpa your just like vinigar, an ole sourpuss". I laughed, I couldn't explain to this five year old that I had a trade going and couldn't leave right then. Anyhow I decided to adopt the handle to remind me that I needed to stop and smell the roses once in a while and spend time with my granddaughter.:)
 
Bought a red suZUKi samurai, new in 1986. And I still own it.

Towards the end of 1999 I was going to spend about 5k rebuilding the truck, just for fun. But i read a book on options and in Feb 2000 opened an online trading account instead (just for fun). Had no idea i'd get so consumed by the market. Think i'll get back to the samurai project this summer, 2.5 years later i need a break from the market.

Well....actually no. My name's not really Daniel, it's Mladen. When I was a kid people in the Macedonian community took the last part of my name - "den" and started calling me Deni, which English speakers turned into into Danny which evolved into Daniel. And I've been called that ever since.

and the "m" in "daniel_m"...well you guess!

That's my story, thanks for the fifteen minutes....

I am going to have to change my name.. I can't think what came over me! I wanna be able to tell a good story about a cracking elitetrader name and I feel inadequate now.. damn..

I think Bono gets the award for funniest post.. calling U2 a British band was hilarious! lol Its funny how time changes stuff... years ago the irish were not too well thought of in the UK.. in the past there were signs up in liverpool etc saying 'No Beggars, No Dogs, No Irish'.. now its cool to be Irish and many english bands wish they were irish! My son (english raised) likes to affect an irish accent to impress the ladies.. they love it!

skrilla is a California bay area slang for money! That's what this is all about. Thug Life, I knew the name was in reference to 2Pac. Str8 Balling!
